Technical consultant (CTP)
During litigations related to a technical and / or commercial problem of a vessel, the Judge may deem appropriate the gathering of further information useful for the decision, through the appointment of a technical consultant (CTU).
The parties involved in the dispute, in order to protect their rights, are allowed as well to appoint a technical consultant operating on their behalves (CTP) with the function of participating in the investigation together with the technician appointed by the Judge and with the task of providing useful information to facilitate the work of the lawyer appointed from each of the parties and for the good outcome of the final judgment.
